Join us for an artist-led tour of this group exhibition, guided by curator Nim Niyomsin, artists Nurrachmat Widyasena (Mas Ito) and Maharani Mancanagara (Rani).
Mas Ito, celebrated for his retro-futuristic explorations through printmaking, installation, and painting, navigates the intersections of reality and fantasy. Rani, whose multidisciplinary practice includes printmaking, woodworking, and installation, crafts fictional narratives that reflect Indonesia's modern sociopolitical and cultural histories.
Together, they will provide unique insights into their works and creative inspirations. After the tour, participate in Susur Leluri, a card game facilitated by both artists to enhance and deepen your engagement with the exhibition.

Virtual Studio Visit by Debbie Ding
Join artist Debbie Ding for a virtual studio visit and a discussion on how game platforms and virtual reality are reshaping creative practices today. Debbie will trace her artistic trajectory from making map works and installations about walking and psychogeography, to designing walking simulator games and virtual worlds. The event is open to all who are curious about the intersection of art and technology and digital space. The studio visit will cover both conceptual frameworks and the practical/technical dimensions of virtual worldbuilding in Unity, Blender and VRChat.

Anthony Chin will be sharing historical & contemporary geographical realities pertaining to the two works currently shown at the New Art Museum - 'Air Doa Selamat' & 'Point 20 Sliver'. He will be touching on how these works reflect on ideas of nation, borders and nationhood, while simultaneously addressing his personal experiences. The talk will also touch on long-term research projects and artworks that outlines his artistic practice.

How can we understand and feel the ecological crisis that is intangible, abstract, and yet-to-come? In this workshop, participants will collectively speculate and harness AI tools such as Dall-E and Runway ML to create future scenarios based on spatial references, data, and personal memories.
